Britney Spears called off a free mini-concert at a 10,000-capacity outdoor venue in Sydney on Wednesday (4/17) due to rain. Instead, she appeared the next day at a 1,000-capacity nightclub, according to Australian press reports. Fans could also see the performance on giant video screens that were set up in the parking lot outside the venue.

From the official Oasis website:

The MP3s of Oasis tracks in circulation on the net appear to be illicit recordings (probably made with a hidden Walkman or similar device) of early mixes of tracks for the band’s new album, which were made some time ago.

The recordings are of very poor quality and are not of the final album mixes. We hope anyone who has downloaded the tracks enjoys them but does not take them as any indication of the finished album which has come a long way since these recordings were made. In particular we would ask that music journalists do not use these tracks as the basis for album reviews as they are a very poor substitute for the finished record.

The four daughters of Tammy Wynette have reached an undisclosed out-of-court settlement with a Pittsburgh doctor, whom they accused of contributing to Wynette’s 1998 death. The daughters, who claimed the doctor had mismanaged Wynette’s treatment, sought $50 million from the doctor, according to the Associated Press.
