Dixie Chicks and Shakira will join previously announced performers Mary J. Blige, Cher and Celine Dion at “VH1 Divas Las Vegas: A Benefit Concert for the VH1 Save the Music Foundation.’’ The show airs live from the MGM Grand Garden Arena on May 23.

Bob Dylan and Luke Wilson will star in the film “Masked & Anonymous,” which is expected to go into production in July, according to the Hollywood Reporter. It will mark the big-screen directorial debut of television writer, director and producer Larry Charles.

A&M/Universal issues “The Best of Billy Preston” on May 21. The release contains 11 digitally remastered tracks, including the 1972 No. 2 pop hit “Outa-Space"--which features George Harrison on slide guitar--and the No. 1 pop hits “Will It Go Round in Circles” and “Nothing from Nothing.”

A photo of John Lennon‘s bloodstained glasses, taken by his wife, Yoko Ono, after he was fatally shot outside his New York apartment building in 1980, reportedly sold for $13,000 at a London auction on Wednesday (4/17). The photo, said to be one of six prints, was used on the cover of Ono’s 1981 album “Season of Glass.”

Between April 6 and 13, more than 3.1 million copies of the new Kazaa Media Desktop file-swapping software was downloaded from the Kazaa website, according to a press release issued by Kazaa parent-company Sharman Networks.
