Not long after unveiling a theater trek with How to Destroy Angels, frontman Trent Reznor has announced plans for an extensive Nine Inch Nails tour later this year.

The industrial rock outfit took a break following the 2009's "Wave Goodbye" tour, but a "reimagined" group will reconvene for several dates that begin this summer and push into 2014, according to Pitchfork.

"Calls were made to some friends, lots of new ideas were discussed, and a show was booked - which led to another, which somehow led to a lot of shows," Reznor said in a statement.

Nine Inch Nails' latest lineup will consist of Reznor, Eric Avery of Jane's Addiction, Adrian Belew of King Crimson and Josh Eustis of Telefon Tel Aviv, Alessandro Cortini and Ilan Rubin.

NIN most recently unveiled "The Slip" in 2008. The free digital collection peaked at No. 13 on The Billboard 200. No word yet on if or when a new album might surface.
