David Bowie celebrates his birthday (1/8) with the release of a new single and the news of a long-awaited Tony Visconti-produced album that will hit retailers in March.

The English pop icon unveiled an iTunes link to a new song entitled "Where Are They Now?" at his newly redesigned website Tuesday (1/8).

The single, which is accompanied by a Tony Oursler-directed video, is the first from Bowie's impending 30th studio effort, "The Next Day," which is currently available for pre-order. The 14-track collection and the 17-track deluxe version go on sale March 12 via ISO/Columbia Records.

"The Next Day," which has been produced by longtime collaborator Tony Visconti and recorded in New York, will be Bowie's first set of new material in 10 years. His most recent release, "Reality," surfaced in 2003, peaking at No. 29 on The Billboard 200 and at No. 3 on the U.K. charts.
