Neil Young among artists to honor Bruce Springsteen for MusiCares
The sold-out tribute, an annual part of Grammy Week, takes place Feb. 8 at the Los Angeles Convention Center and will be hosted by comedian and political commentator Jon Stewart. The 23rd annual event honors rock and roll legend Springsteen.
Other performers include Jackson Browne, Kenny Chesney, Ben Harper, Emmylou Harris, Jim James, Juanes, John Legend, Natalie Maines, Tim McGraw, Tom Morello, Patti Smith, Mavis Staples, Sting and Eddie Vedder.
Proceeds for the tribute concert will benefit MusiCares, which offers assistance to musicians in financial, medical or personal need.
Springsteen has released 17 studio albums, including the most recent -- "Wrecking Ball" -- which surfaced in March and topped The Billboard 200, as well as album charts in 14 other countries. His musical career began more than 40 years ago with the release of "Greetings From Asbury Park, N.J." in 1973.
