Luke Bryan rules American Country Awards

Luke Bryan swept this week's 2012 American Country Awards, taking home Artist of the Year trophies, as well as awards for his hit single, "I Don't Want This Night To End."

Luke Bryan swept this week's 2012 American Country Awards, taking home Artist of the Year trophies, as well as awards for his hit single, "I Don't Want This Night To End."

The third annual American Country Awards, hosted by Kristin Chenoweth and Trace Adkins, took place Monday (12/10) at Las Vegas' Mandalay Bay.

Bryan walked away with nine ACAs, including Artist of the Year and Artist of the Year: Male. The Nashville native's recent release, "Tailgates and Tanlines," was deemed Album of the Year, and the chart-topping lead single "I Don't Want This Night To End" snagged nods for Single of the Year, Single of the Year: Male, Music Video of the Year and Music Video of the Year: Male.

Carrie Underwood won the Artist of the Year title in the Female category, while Lady Antebellum took home the Group award. Miranda Lambert's single "Over You" was named Single of the Year: Female, as well as Music Video of the Year: Female.

Touring Artist of the Year went to Jason Aldean, and newcomer Hunter Hayes received two trophies for his song "Wanted," one for Single of the Year: New Artist and Music Video of the Year: New Artist.
