Josh Groban confirms initial dates for "Illuminations" world tour

Multi-platinum singer/songwriter Josh Groban has announced a global tour behind the recently released album "Illuminations," which will begin with a trio of Southern shows in late May.
Groban unveiled his plans this morning (2/14) on "The Today Show," including the tour kick-off May 16 in Dallas. Tickets for the first three performances, which are listed at right, go on sale Friday (2/18), though members of the singer's fan club will get pre-sale access beginning Wednesday (2/16).
More dates and on sale information will be announced in the coming weeks, according to a press release.
"Illuminations," Groban's fifth studio set, hit shelves in November. The Rick Rubin-produced effort debuted at No. 4 on The Billboard 200, making it his fourth consecutive Top 5 album.
Groban will be making the rounds this week, with appearances on "Live with Regis & Kelly" tomorrow (2/15), as well as "The Late Show with David Letterman" and a return trip to "The Today Show" for an interview. The performer will also take on the National Anthem at the 60th annual NBA All-Star game in Los Angeles Sunday (2/20).
