Report: Crystal Bowersox weds in Chicago
"American Idol" runner-up Crystal Bowersox has gotten hitched, according to People magazine.
She and fellow musician Brian Walker, whom she met six years ago at an open mic night, tied the knot in the Chicago club where they first laid eyes on each other.
The magazine reports that the dreadlocked Bowersox -- appropriately enough -- wore an Earth-friendly hemp and cotton gown from Vermont designer Tara Lynn. The dress, created in a solar-powered studio, was adorned with macrame, seashell and bead detailing.
About 60 friends and family attended the ceremony, including Bowersox's one-and-a-half-year-old son Tony, Season 9 Idol contestant Didi Benami, and actor Lance Barber from "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia."
According to People, the reception featured a "laughing Buddha cake" from Bleeding Heart Bakery, a Chicago-area organic and sustainable business. Performances were scheduled from Walker and several attendees.
Bowersox will soon return to the studio where she is working on her debut album.
