Denmark's The Raveonettes emerged about eight years ago, hugging Everly Brothers harmonics and Phil Spector production values to their chests like inseparable imaginary pals. Although they were dismissed as one-trick ponies by many wags, they persevered to gain a new level of critical respect (though not without a considerable cost to album sales) when they adapted their throwback stylings to articulate a new gloomy, feedback-drenched direction more in line with The Jesus and Mary Chain than The Ronettes. Raveonettes take 'Control' on fall headlining trek

Noise-pop duo The Raveonettes will hit the road in North America this fall in support of their fourth studio album, "In and Out of Control."

Siren fest lineup announced

Built to Spill and The Ravonettes will be among the acts performing at this year's Siren Music Festival, scheduled to take place July 18 on New York's Coney Island, according to a press release. The 9th Annual Village Voice fest also will feature Frightened Rabbit, Grand Duchy, Monotonix, and Micachu & The Shapes among the international, national, and local bands that will be performing on two outdoor stages.

Danish noise-pop duo The Raveonettes has released "Beauty Dies," the second of three digital-only EPs the group has in store following February's full-length "Lust Lust Lust," and has scheduled a handful of US concerts.

The Raveonettes released a free digital-only EP yesterday (9/8), the first in a series of EPs the Danish duo plans to release before the end of the year, according to a press release. "Raveonettes Remixed" can be downloaded from the Vice Records website.
