Orange County punk outfit The Offspring will close out the summer with a headlining tour through North America behind the recently released "Days Go By."
Marilyn Manson, The Offspring, Steve Aoki and Bad Religion are among the acts slated for the fifth annual Sunset Strip Festival, which will also celebrate the music of The Doors.
About this time last year, 311 released their ninth studio set, "Uplifter," which debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200, giving the band its best-ever showing on the chart. The 2009 Samsung AT&T Summer Krush Tour is now in its third year. Tuesday night (9/8), the free concert series featured rap giant Jay-Z as the headlining act at the House of Blues in Chicago. The Offspring will embark on a two-month trek across North America this summer in support of last summer's "Rise and Fall, Rage and Grace." About 721,000 copies of Coldplay's "Viva La Vida or Death and All His Friends" sold during the album's first week out, giving the band its second consecutive No. 1 debut in the US.
