March 24, 2011 - "The Grateful Dead Movie," returns to the big screen April 20 for the first time since a limited 2003 screening. The movie, which was shot during the band's 1974 Winterland Arena shows in San Francisco, originally debuted in New York City in 1977 and has not been available in wide theatrical distribution since its initial release.
June 1, 2010 - Phil Lesh and Bob Weir top the long list of performers on board for the third annual Outside Lands Music & Arts Festival, marking the Grateful Dead alums' return to the hallowed ground of their heyday, Golden Gate Park, San Francisco, for the first time since 1991.
October 19, 2009 - The Grateful Dead will be honored in New York City tonight (10/19) when the Empire State Building is lit up in tie-dye colors to celebrate the appearance of Bob Weir and Phil Lesh at a cocktail reception to benefit an upcoming exhibition at the New York Historical Society, according to a press release.
