Rogue Wave founder Zach Rogue and company have overcome some bad breaks since the band formed in 2002, from serious illness and getting dropped by their label in 2006, to the sudden death of beloved bass player Evan Farrell in 2007. The band seemed to be on an upswing this year, playing a set at Lollapalooza and supporting Jack Johnson and Death Cab for Cutie, as well as appearing on "The Late Show David Letterman."
