June 24, 2009 - When Newsweek spoke to Trent Reznor this week about putting Nine Inch Nails on hiatus, the magazine also asked him what music he's currently listening to. He named the psych-folk group Grizzly Bear. "There's a beauty and a musicality there that I wish would have been in vogue in the late '80s, when I was forming bands," Reznor was quoted as saying. "The aesthetic I was tuned into was a more dumbed-down kind of thing."

July 18, 2008 - It's tough to launch a festival after work on a Friday (7/18), but the crowds braved late-afternoon heat, a sudden downpour and ridiculous public-transit waits for the Pitchfork Music Festival, or as it is known by the kids in the know, P4K.
March 31, 2008 - More than a dozen acts have been added to the roster for the 2008 Pitchfork Music Festival, to be held July 18-20 at Chicago's Union Park. Among the newly announced acts are Dinosaur Jr., Jarvis Cocker, Ghostface & Raekwon, and The Apples in Stereo. Previously announced performers include Public Enemy (performing "It Takes a Nation of Millions to Hold Us Back"), Animal Collective and Spiritualized. More than a dozen additional artists will be announced in upcoming weeks., according to a press release.
July 16, 2007 - Thousands of indie rock fanatics--a good mix of fresh, young folks and music-loving grown-ups--visit the Pitchfork website for news and reviews, and at least 17,000 of them are now turning up every year to see the bands they've been reading about online.
