Peter Asher -- a singer, producer and manager whose career has included work with the Beatles, James Taylor and Linda Ronstadt -- has created a multimedia show about his life that will make its U.S. debut at the Iridium in New York City on Dec. 3. When the Eagles first toured, they didn't have a name; the group's original members first played together as Linda Rondstadt's backup group. It was a good fit, and with Ronstadt's encouragement, the group decided to take a record deal, releasing its self-titled debut in 1972. The band's first single, "Take It Easy" (written with then-neighbor Jackson Browne), made it to No. 12 on the Billboard Hot 100. With the
addition of follow-up hits "Witchy Woman" and "Peaceful Easy Feeling," the genre of Southern California Rock was born.
