Before he became something akin to the Nicolas Cage of supergroups, Dave Stewart had a nice little gig in Eurythmics, an act that defined the '80s almost so perfectly that it debuted in 1980 and broke up (pre-inevitable reunion cash-in) in 1990, before Nirvana could make Annie Lennox sad. After that? He sort of became a studio nerd and wandered around collecting phone numbers, which he eventually turned into a series of supergroups, groups that would generally feature a bunch a guys you've sort of heard of, and also Dave Stewart from Eurythmics.
