Legendary rock band Deep Purple is gearing up for some North American trekking this June, with a twist. Queen and Deep Purple hit the big screen April 28 with the one-night only showing of two concerts at movie theaters nationwide, according to a press release. Veteran hard-rockers Deep Purple return to North America in July with another round of new dates in support of their 2005 album, "Rapture of the Deep." Deep Purple vocalist Ian Gillan will launch a tour this fall behind his latest solo album, the dual-disc "Gillan's Inn," which features Gillan's retooling of his hits from the past with a little help from his heavy-metal friends.
