Kelly, Dr. Dre, Eminem, Alabama, OutKast, Baha Men, Jessica Simpson and 98 Degrees all picked up multi-platinum album certifications from the Recording Industry Association of America in November. Multi-platinum status signifies U.S. sales of at least 2 million units.
June 19, 2000 - Country singer George Strait was crowned Entertainer of the Year at last Thursday’s (6/15) TNN Music Awards ceremony. Strait dominated the event with wins in four other categories, including Male Artist of the Year and Album of the Year for his 1999 release “Always Never the Same.” The TNN Music Awards are determined by fan votes.
