June 1, 2001 - Slash’s Snakepit, which earlier this year had to pull out of the opening slot of the AC/DC tour when Slash fell ill, has lined up the first leg of an outing that kicks off mid-June. The jaunt includes several late June co-headlining dates with fellow rocker Billy Idol.
March 8, 2001 - Slash’s Snakepit, who later this month will begin opening dates for AC/DC, kicked off a headlining club tour on Wednesday night (3/7) that is scheduled to run through mid-March.
December 5, 2000 - When it comes to '80s guitar icons, few match the Les Paul-wielding, top hat-donning Slash. From the raw Guns N’ Roses debut, "Appetite for Destruction," to the self-indulgent "Use Your Illusion" sets, Slash's possessed, blues-metal mayhem was as--if not more--prominent than Axl Rose's screeching vocals.
October 9, 2000 - Jakob Dylan and the Wallflowers surface this week with “Breach” (Interscope), the group’s first album in almost four years. The disc is the follow-up to the band’s 1996 breakthrough album “Bringing Down the Horse,” which has been certified quadruple platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America for sales of more than 4 million copies. Several successful singles, including the Top 10 hit “One Headlight,” spurred on sales of the disc.
July 14, 2000 - Slash's Snakepit--a band fronted by ex-Guns N' Roses guitarist Slash--has signed on as the opening act for AC/DC's upcoming tour of North American arenas. The two-month outing is scheduled to open in Grand Rapids, Mich., on Aug. 1.
