On his new album, Steve Miller covers the blues songs that inspired him as a youth in Texas and created the base for his version of rootsy psychedelia in the 1960s and his punchier, straightforward hits in the 1970s. A half dozen songs from the well-received "Bingo!," his first album 17 years, find their way into the two-hour show, most of them transmogrified to sit comfortably among "Take the Money and Run" and "The Joker."
