July 12, 2010 - On his new album, Steve Miller covers the blues songs that inspired him as a youth in Texas and created the base for his version of rootsy psychedelia in the 1960s and his punchier, straightforward hits in the 1970s. A half dozen songs from the well-received "Bingo!," his first album 17 years, find their way into the two-hour show, most of them transmogrified to sit comfortably among "Take the Money and Run" and "The Joker."

November 6, 2009 - Steve Miller is hosting a benefit concert for Norton Buffalo's wife and children Jan. 23 at The Fox Theater in Oakland, CA. Buffalo, who spent 33 years as a member of the Steve Miller Band, died last Friday (10/30) after battling lung and brain cancer.
