Day One of the three-day event was perhaps the city's most beautiful summer day in years. Attendees arrived to a sunshine filled Golden Gate Park, normally socked in by coastal fog all year round.
December 29, 2008 - 1992 was a pivotal year for the rapper Nas. Although thrilled to be signing a record deal with Columbia at the age of 18, he was also mourning the death of a friend. Willy "Ill Will" Graham, his neighbor in the Queensbridge housing projects in New York and his first musical partner, was shot and killed by a gunman in May of that year.
