November 23, 2009 - Roots-rock outfit Blue Rodeo will launch an extensive Canadian tour just after the New Year in support of the Canadian literacy initiative Canwest Raise-a-Reader.
March 9, 2008 - Seminal Canadian roots rock favorites Blue Rodeo invite a few of their friends--including members of The Sadies, Luke Doucet and Oh Susanna--for a SXSW showcase. Inspired by Bob Dylan's Rolling Thunder Revue, Blue Rodeo & Friends started as a semi-annual event on New Year’s Eve in Toronto, for which Blue Rodeo's members invited artists that they admire to join them on stage and sing their own songs. Blue Rodeo—who've sold 5 million albums to date worldwide--acts as the backing band, blending in its own material along the way.
