August 25, 2008 - Tom Morello, Jello Biafra and Ike Reilly will be among the performers and celebrity supporters scheduled to participate in two "Super Rallies," to be held in both Denver and Minneapolis during the Democratic and Republican National Conventions. The rallies, which are being organized by the independent presidential campaign of Ralph Nader and his running mate, Matt Gonzalez, were designed as a call for the opening of the presidential debates, according to a press release.
May 22, 2000 - A San Francisco Superior Court jury decided on Friday (5/19) that Jello Biafra, former frontman of Dead Kennedys, must pay his ex-bandmates $220,000 in damages. The three ex-Dead Kennedys members--guitarist "East Bay Ray" Pepperell, bassist Klaus Flouride (Geoffrey Lyall) and drummer D.H. Peligro (Darren Henley)--filed a lawsuit against their former singer in 1998.
February 9, 2000 - The Green Party is building momentum to get spoken-word provocateur Jello Biafra on the presidential ballot, according to the chair of the party's national electoral action group. But Biafra, who is busy with his Alternative Tentacles label and his new release with Lard, does not plan to campaign actively.
