October 31, 2003 - At the time of his death, Joe Strummer was working on his third album with The Mescaleros, the band with whom he'd been collaborating since 1999. Strummer succumbed to a heart attack in December of 2002, before "Streetcore" could be completed.
August 25, 2003 - "Streetcore," an album containing material that ex-Clash member Joe Strummer was working on with his band the Mescaleros before his sudden death in December, is set to reach stores on Oct. 21.
