October 10, 2008 - The eighth edition of the Hardly Strictly Bluegrass festival--investment banker Warren Hellman's baby--took place last week. The free show, which Hellman has spent millions to produce over the years, filled Golden Gate Park's Speedway Meadow with music-lovers of all ages. Sunshine and clear skies were icing on the cake.

The event's lineup featured such names as Chris Isaak, John Prine, Dr. John, Robert Plant and the Band of Joy, Kris Kristofferson & Merle Haggard, Gillian Welch, Broken Social Scene, Blind Boys of Alabama, Bob Mould, Bright Eyes, M. Ward, Fitz and the Tantrums, and even Buckethead among others.
