August 14, 2009 - Allen Shellenberger, founding member and drummer for Southern California rock outfit Lit, died Thursday (8/13) after a 15-month battle with brain cancer. He was 39.
May 23, 2008 - Lit drummer Allen Shellenberger has been diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor. The band made an initial announcement on their website May 5, when the tumor was first discovered. Recent biopsy results identified Shellenberger's cancer as malignant glioma, the same type of cancer Senator Edward M. Kennedy is battling.
