Buju Banton concerts canceled, anti-gay sentiment cited

Two major concert promoters, AEG Live/Goldenvoice and Live Nation, have canceled all of their respective Buju Banton concerts after months of organized protests against the Jamaican dancehall star. Banton, who was scheduled to perform in major markets across the country in October, has drawn criticism and incited protest due to a long-standing reputation for provoking violent anti-gay sentiment in his music, according to Entertainment Weekly.
