Gregg Allman is suffering from an upper respiratory illness, and has canceled his planned late summer tour.
Allman is expected to write for the first time about his life in the music business, including the formation of the Allman Brothers, his solo career, his failed marriages, his struggles with addiction and the tragedies that plagued the band, according to a press release.
Legendary singer/songwriter Gregg Allman will hit the tour trail for the first leg of a North American trek behind his recently released solo effort, "Low Country Blues."
