December 20, 2010 - Over the weekend, while fans were remembering Captain Beefheart and mourning his death, musicians and artists offered their own thoughts. Some forwarded their comments to media outlets. Others used social media such as Twitter and Facebook. Here's a sampling:
November 3, 2010 - British singer/songwriter Kate Nash was only 17 when she began her career in music. Fast forward six years and she seems to have the best of both worlds--youth and experience.
May 4, 2009 - It wasn't just the near sold-out crowd of 18,000-plus who came to pay tribute to the music, environmental stewardship or the politics of a lanky, lucid banjo player by the name of Pete Seeger. Many of the dozens of performers who took the stage at Madison Square Garden Sunday (5/3) to honor Seeger on his 90th birthday also were moved in some way by this man who is regarded by many as something of an American treasure.
September 3, 2008 - Billy Bragg returns to the US this fall for another round of headlining dates, playing material off of his latest studio set, "Mr. Love & Justice."
April 17, 2008 - English folk-rock singer Billy Bragg has lined up a run of North American dates this summer to support his forthcoming new album, "Mr. Love & Justice."
February 1, 2006 - England's Billy Bragg will make a number of US appearances in March, timed around the release of a nine-disc, box-set overview of the singer's career.
