Before he became something akin to the Nicolas Cage of supergroups, Dave Stewart had a nice little gig in Eurythmics, an act that defined the '80s almost so perfectly that it debuted in 1980 and broke up (pre-inevitable reunion cash-in) in 1990, before Nirvana could make Annie Lennox sad. After that? He sort of became a studio nerd and wandered around collecting phone numbers, which he eventually turned into a series of supergroups, groups that would generally feature a bunch a guys you've sort of heard of, and also Dave Stewart from Eurythmics. Annie Lennox has surgery, Dave Stewart scales back tour

Annie Lennox underwent spinal surgery to release an impinged nerve after she was injured while attending last week's International AIDS Conference in Mexico, according to a press release. The surgery went as planned and Lennox is recuperating at home.
