June 3, 2008 - The 29th annual Long Beach Blues Festival, scheduled Aug. 30-31, will be held this year in a new location, the Rainbow Lagoon at Linden Ave. and Shoreline Dr. adjacent to the Long Beach Marina, according to a press release.
October 29, 2007 - British-blues godfather John Mayall and his band, The Bluesbreakers, will continue touring the US next month with a handful of gigs on the West Coast.
March 10, 2004 - Commonly known as the "Father of British Blues," John Mayall has helped launch the careers of some of the most famous musicians of the past five decades. His Bluesbreakers have boasted everyone from Eric Clapton and Rolling Stone Mick Taylor to John McVie, Mick Fleetwood and Peter Green of Fleetwood Mac.
