There are few hardcore rap groups with more street cred than Wu-Tang Clan. So notorious is the crew that legend has it an FBI informant was once planted in the circle of group members RZA, Method Man, Ghostface Killah, Raekwon, GZA, Masta Killa, U-God, Inspectah Deck, and the late Ol' Dirty Bastard. In contrast, the name "Wu-Tang" was inspired by the enlightend spirituality of the Taoist culture--specifically the Hubei Province in China, home of the Wu Dang Mountain.

Wu-Tang Clan, who recently launched their 2008/2009 winter tour, have penciled in a few more dates for the run, and are gearing up for the release on their Wu Music Group label of a new RZA-produced soundtrack album.

Wu-Tang Clan founder The RZA and System of a Down bassist Shavo Odadjian recently finished recording an album together which is due out this summer, according to a press release. The new band, Achozen, also features Kinetic 9 (aka Beretta 9 from Killarmy) and up-and-comer Reverend William Burke from Chicago.
