With their first joint U.S. appearance now in the books, heavy-metal mainstays Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth and Anthrax have announced plans for their second U.S. "Big 4" show.
When the Big 4 -- Anthrax, Metallica, Megadeth and Slayer -- played Indio, CA, on Saturday (4/23), things could not have gone more perfectly, as far as Anthrax drummer Charlie Benante was concerned. However, the desert heat weighed heavily on the quartet of thrash heroes.
The Big 4 -- heavy-metal heavyweights Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth and Anthrax -- have toured overseas together in the past, but the foursome played the U.S. for the first time on Saturday (4/23).
Scott Ian will take some time off from Anthrax this summer because his wife is expecting their first child. Ian issue a statement this week saying he will be playing with Anthrax at the Big 4 show April 23 in Indio, CA; that concert also features Metallica, Megadeath and Slayer.
