August 30, 2009 - The promoters of San Francisco's second annual music and arts festival, Outside Lands, must have good karma. Day One of the three-day event was perhaps the city's most beautiful summer day in years. Attendees arrived to a sunshine filled Golden Gate Park, normally socked in by coastal fog all year round.

September 15, 2006 - In preparation for their third album, Mexican electro-pop outfit Kinky relocated to a beach house in Malibu, CA. The result is "Reina," an album that's as up-tempo and boogie-down as the band's earlier efforts, only this time lead singer Gil Cerezo sounds slightly more comfortable delivering his vocals in English rather than his native Spanish.
December 8, 2003 - Kinky frontman Gilberto Cerezo was on fire all show long. The guitarist/singer spent most of Saturday night (12/6) night rocketing across The Avalon stage as his band offered torrents of techno-inspired Latin rock behind him.
