Indie-rock duo Broken Bells -- James Mercer (vocals and guitar) and producer Brian Burton, aka Danger Mouse (drums and keyboards) -- percolated the idea of collaboration for about four years before actually setting foot in the studio. The pair met at a Danish music festival in 2004, where Mercer was performing with his band the Shins, and Danger Mouse with Gnarls Barkley. Broken Bells head out on inaugural headlining run

Less than a month after the release of their self-titled set, Broken Bells have mapped their first US tour, hitting major markets from coast to coast this spring.
