Indie-rock group Dengue Fever kicked off a brand new tour earlier this week in support of their fourth full-length studio album, 'Cannibal Courtship.' Fronted by beloved Cambodian-pop star Chhom Nimol, the sextet -- which formed in 2001 -- also includes Zac Holtzman (guitar/vocals), Ethan Holtzman (keyboards), Senon Williams (bass), Paul Smith (drums) and David Ralicke (horns). Even if you're up to date on Southeast Asian history, you probably wouldn't know that before the dictator Pol Pot took over Cambodia in the mid '70s, it was a pretty hip country--right down to the music its people were making. In fact, they were playing Fusion before the genre was even named, mixing Western and Eastern sounds.
