Indie-rock group Dengue Fever kicked off a brand new tour earlier this week in support of their fourth full-length studio album, 'Cannibal Courtship.' Fronted by beloved Cambodian-pop star Chhom Nimol, the sextet -- which formed in 2001 -- also includes Zac Holtzman (guitar/vocals), Ethan Holtzman (keyboards), Senon Williams (bass), Paul Smith (drums) and David Ralicke (horns). January 11, 2010 - Even if you're up to date on Southeast Asian history, you probably wouldn't know that before the dictator Pol Pot took over Cambodia in the mid '70s, it was a pretty hip country--right down to the music its people were making. In fact, they were playing Fusion before the genre was even named, mixing Western and Eastern sounds.
