October 8, 2008 - Taylor Hicks celebrated his birthday yesterday (10/7) by announcing a new deal with the independent artist services company Artist To Market to release his new album, due in stores Feb. 10. Under the new deal, the Season 5 "American Idol" winner will maintain complete control of direction and ownership of his master recordings on his solely owned and operated Modern Whomp Records label, according to a press release.
September 16, 2008 - Taylor Hicks, the winner of the fifth season of FOX's "American Idol," continues his Broadway role as "Teen Angel" in the first national tour of "Grease." Kicking off Dec 2 in Providence, RI, the Tony Award nominated production will grace the stage in more than a dozen US cities, including Minneapolis, Chicago, San Diego, and Seattle. Each stop will run several nights and feature a handful of performances, tickets for which are not yet available.
