Their set was summed up in a review by SoundSpike's Rob Evans as having '...an almost spiritual feel, with the crowd joining in unison on the chants that form the hooks of so many of the group's songs. The combination was perfect prescription for sending the crowd home on a high.' December 22, 2008 - San Francisco's Noise Pop Festival, which will take place Feb. 24-March 1 at venues throughout the city, will feature Stephen Malkmus making his Noise Pop solo debut. The 17th annual fest also will feature Josh Ritter, Martha Wainwright, Antony & The Johnsons, No Age, A.C. Newman, Clues, St. Vincent, French Kicks, Ra Ra Riot, Broker West, The Morning Benders and The Submarines, according to a press release.
