May 18, 2009 - Boy George has been released from a UK prison just four months into his 15-month sentence. The former Culture Club singer, whose real name is George O'Dowd, is expected to wear an electronic tag during the remaining 11 months of his sentence, according to BBC News.

A statement issued on his behalf said the performer is devastated that he will not be able to tour the US this summer as planned. However, the US dates have yet to be canceled, according to published reports.
