August 20, 2008 - Alison Krauss has been tapped to join the Honorary Committee of the 7th Annual Daniel Pearl World Music Days, a global network of performances designed in a "Harmony for Humanity" theme, according to a press release.
May 12, 2000 - Country music superstar Garth Brooks and composer-conductor John Williams will be the first artists inducted into the Hollywood Bowl Hall of Fame, which will be housed at the venue's Edmund D. Edelman Museum. The induction celebration will take place during the June 23 season-opening concert at the 78-year-old Los Angeles amphitheater.
