December 14, 2006 - A group of influential female pop and soul performers aim to spread the joys of sisterhood and music on the six-week Sisters in the Spirit tour, which launches Jan. 23 in Seattle and hits 31 cities all over the US into March.
August 8, 2001 - Award-winning gospel star Yolanda Adams is heading out on the road as part of the Sisters in the Spirit tour with Shirley Caesar and Mary Mary. The extensive tour kicks off on Sept. 20 at the Landmark Theater in Richmond, Va.
August 22, 2000 - The Gospel Music Association will induct eight new members to its Gospel Music Hall of Fame during an Oct. 30 ceremony in Nashville. The honorees will include Petra, the Oak Ridge Boys, Edwin Hawkins Singers, Fisk Jubilee Singers, Roger Breland & Truth, the Kingsmen Quartet, Shirley Caesar and Robert R. “Bob” MacKenzie.
