Popper, DiFranco, Hornsby, others mark anniversary of Roe v. Wade

To commemorate the upcoming 29th anniversary of Roe v. Wade--the landmark Supreme Court decision that legalized abortion--abortion-rights group Voters for Choice has enlisted the help of John Popper, Ani DiFranco, Bruce Hornsby and Joe Henry, all of whom are scheduled to perform at a benefit concert in Washington D.C. next month.

Blues Traveler Pulls Out Of New Year's Plans

Blues Traveler announced that it will not play the New Year's Eve show at the Reno Hilton in Reno, Nev., but that John Popper Band, led by the Blues Traveler frontman, will play a pair of shows at the Hilton that night. The band also confirmed that it will continue despite the recent death of founding bassist Bobby Sheehan.

John Popper Cancels Nine Shows

Blues Traveler frontman John Popper has cancelled nine October shows from a tour in support of his recently-released solo debut "Zygote." According to the cryptic statement released by his management, "the cause of the decision is due to the fact that the only opportunity for Popper to receive preventative guidance from a specialist based on the West Coast falls within these specific dates."
