August 3, 2004 - Rocker and spoken-word artist Henry Rollins will soon embark on a USO/Armed Forces Entertainment tour to provide a morale boost to U.S. troops stationed at Soto Cano Air Base in Honduras.
March 4, 2002 - Scottish quartet the Beta Band, who last toured the U.S. in fall 2001, has unveiled a series of spring 2002 dates that it hopes will replicate the success of the fall trek. The tour kicks off March 31 in Dallas.
September 10, 2001 - Building on the success of its recent stint as the show-opener on Radiohead's sold-out summer tour, Scottish pop quartet the Beta Band will launch a headlining trek across the U.S. Oct. 15 in Atlanta. The jaunt is scheduled to run through early November.
July 3, 2001 - Throughout its lively, five-year career, Scotland's Beta Band has been pegged as scraggly pranksters, art-school burnouts, masterful truth-benders and Britain's answer to Beck. The foursome fits all these definitions in one way or another (although they've passed the "British Beck" mantle to Badly Drawn Boy), but at heart, the Beta Band is undefinable.
