September 20, 2010 - A bust of Frank Zappa was installed Saturday (9/19) in Baltimore, the city of his birth, on the 25th anniversary of his famous Congressional testimony against the efforts of the PMRC to require labeling of albums containing "explicit lyrics or content."
May 21, 2009 - Frank Zappa's "Mothermania" album is now available for the first time as a digital download directly from Zappa.com, according to a press release.
October 22, 2008 - A Frank Zappa audio-documentary, "Lumpy Money," will be released Nov. 25, marking the 40th anniversary of the albums "Lumpy Gravy" and "We're Only In It For The Money," which Zappa considered his solo debuts both as an artist and a record producer, according to a press release.
July 10, 2008 - The Zappa Family Trust has released Frank Zappa's 1981 Halloween concert film, "The Torture Never Stops," on DVD. The concert film, recorded Oct. 31, 1981, at the Palladium in New York, features 24 songs and runs more than two hours.
April 28, 2008 - Frank Zappa can be, admittedly, an acquired taste. You can be suckered in by the airhead charm of "Valley Girl," only to turn around and be throttled by an instrumental like "Drowning Witch."
