Low to bring out 'Guns' on spring tour

Minnesota "slowcore" icons Low have set up a spring/early summer tour around the impending release of their eighth studio album, "Drums and Guns," which is set to hit stores in March.

In the 10 years since Blake Babies last released an album, frontwoman Juliana Hatfield scored hits with "My Sister" and "Spin the Bottle." Meanwhile, drummer Freda Love and guitarist John Strohm released records as Antenna, before going on to new projects. The trio--which emerged from the Boston scene in the early-'80s--regrouped in 2000 and quickly found that its chemistry hadn't faded.

Reunited Blake Babies announce second tour this year

After a string of sold-out reunion shows in March, Boston’s Blake Babies are returning to the road in June for eight shows. The tour kicks off June 6 in Columbus, Ohio, and wraps up 10 days later in Los Angeles.
