October 27, 2010 - Dan Hicks and the Hot Licks will continue their annual "Holidaze in Hicksville" tour, but will accompany this year's shows with the release of the album "Crazy for Christmas."
September 21, 2001 - Dan Hicks' manner of speaking is slow and droll, somewhat like his brand of music. His playful melodies utilize western swing, jazz, folk, blues, jug band and country, with some pop thrown in for good measure.
January 18, 2001 - Acoustic swing legends Dan Hicks and the Hot Licks start a new leg of their tour on Friday (1/19) in Salt Lake City. The group's most recent release, last August's "Beatin' the Heat" (Surfdog) was their first studio album since 1976.
